How long does SURGICEP with Microsilver BG stay on the skin?
The standard for all alcohol-based antiseptics is up to 12 hours on the skin. However, SURGICEP’s Microsilver BG will stay on the skin as long as it is in the skin pores and unless washed away.
How many times must I spray / apply SURGICEP with Microsilver BG?
There is no specific number of times, so you can spray or apply SURGICEP with Microsilver BG as often as needed. However, it is important to spray adequately to cover the injection site, pre- and post-operative site, the wound and its surroundings, etc.
Can SURGICEP with Microsilver BG used as a cleaning solution before operations?
Yes. Being an antiseptic and disinfectant, SURGICEP with Microsilver BG can be used as a cleaning solution for the operative site, operating table and the surgical instruments that are to be used for the operation. You may also use SURGICEP with Microsilver BG after autoclaving the surgical instruments as an added precaution.
Is it safe for pregnant women? Babies?
Yes. SURGICEP contains 10ppm of Microsilver BG which is the safest dose of silver for human use. Also, SURGICEP is hypoallergenic and is safe for use for both pregnant women and for babies.
